On March 12, 2023, the Oscars, Hollywood’s big night, were held in the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Performers sing songs nominated for Academy Awards for “best song” as part of the celebrations. There was some doubt about Lady Gaga’s ability to sing “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick due to her current shooting schedule for The Joker sequel, but she pulled it off.
Lady Gaga rocked the red carpet in a daring Versace gown with smokey eyes and scarlet lipstick. She changed for her performance, wearing tattered jeans and a T-shirt with little makeup, a sharp contrast to her earlier appearance.
Lady Gaga offered a message about the underlying significance behind all of this before she performed. She said it was really personal to her. She believes that they all need one another. To go through this life, they need a lot of love. They all need a hero from time to time, and heroes may be found in unexpected places. Even though one feels damaged on the inside, one can discover that one can be one’s own hero.
Gigi Hadid wore Lady Gaga’s black dress for the first time at Versace’s Fall/Winter 2023 show in Los Angeles. The gown’s top is comprised of a see-through mesh long-sleeve bodice with corset sections. The bottom is a voluminous skirt with a low waist that becomes a little cheeky, revealing part of her rear. The ensemble was finished with a diamond collar necklace and earrings.
Lady Gaga received her fourth nomination. The celebrity did not get a new gold statue, which instead went to “Naatu Naatu” from the film RRR. She previously won for her song “Shallow” from the film A Star Is Born in 2019.
