Lizzo has made a huge fan’s dream come true!
Aurielle Marie, an Atlanta-based novelist and poet, posted a TikTok video of herself unpacking a nice surprise delivered by Lizzo, which turned out to be the singer’s stunning 2019 American Music Awards gown.
“Shut up,” Marie screams in her video as she poses in the gown before breaking down in tears.
“Not in Lizzo’s outfit!” she exclaims.
Marie addressed the singer in the comment, saying, “I might’ve gotten a few tears on your dress @lizzo, my bad babe! Words don’t suffice, and thank you isn’t enough. But THANK YOU! I’m speechless. Y’all! A b—- is certified LIZZO SIZED!!!!!! And LOOK AT THIS GOWN! @Out Magazine here i come!”

Marie posted a TikTok video in October asking Lizzo if she could borrow the “Truth Hurts” singer’s 2022 Emmys gown for Out magazine’s forthcoming Out100 gala. The author is being honored as one of Out100’s LGBTQ+ Literary and Publishing Stars of the Year, and she wanted something spectacular to dress to the event in New York City.
She can’t locate anything, anywhere that is huge b—— and red carpet ready, she adds in the video. She knows Lizzo understands what it’s like to be the biggest b—— in the room, with all the scrutiny and hyper-visibility that entails because she’s heard her talk about it.
But she is not going to lie: the longer she goes without something to wear, the less she wants to be there, Marie says.

Lizzo responded with her own TikTok, saying that while she wished to assist Marie, she couldn’t donate her Emmys gown to the writer since she “completely wrecked” it on the night of the award presentation.
Honestly, her AMAs outfit was extremely comparable to her Emmys dress and just as lovely. So she discovered it in her storage, cleaned it up, and mailed it out, Lizzo says in another TikTok video.

Lizzo responded on Twitter after seeing the video of Marie trying on the dress, saying it was her immense delight to send Marie the dress.
It’s simple to be nice, Lizzo wrote. She continued saying that Marie looked stunning.
