Longtime supporters of the lively adolescent who grew up in terrible conditions have expressed concern over her decision to date an older man. Alana has been dating Dralin Carswell, 20, since early 2021. Fans have voiced their displeasure and fear at seeing the 16-year-old and 20-year-old together, however Mama June defends Alana’s choice.
In a recent interview, Mama June defended Alana. June stated that she has met Dralin. They’ve been dating for over a year. Individuals need to understand that she’ll be 17 in August and that Alana’s older sister Pumpkin and Josh were the same age.
June added that she’s receiving a lot of criticism since she’s in an interracial relationship, he’s older, however at the end of the day, Alana’s not the 6-7 year old kid you fell in love with 11 years ago. Alana has matured; she will graduate from high school next year, folks!
In an interview in November 2021, Mama June and Alana discussed how individuals frequently see her as younger than she is. June added that Alana was four when they began this experience, and it’s time for humans to acknowledge Alana is sixteen now.

She remarked that she just desires this could be private, she has thought many times. Since everything one does when he/she is famous comes out, this might be just them.
Everything. It doesn’t matter if it’s two years or two days after you did it; it’ll get out. So she wishes certain stuff could remain private, yet she loves what she does, and it’s her life, so she guesses she’ll have to get accustomed to it.
When Mama June: Road to Redemption returns with a new season, viewers will have a better understanding of Alana’s story. This season will have June attempting to reclaim custody of Alana. Viewers will be able to continue following until Alana graduates from high school in 2023, according to a recent extension.
