Mariah Carey and her new pets belong together!
The 54-year-old “Fantasy” singer announced the adoption of two kittens in a heartwarming post on X.
In the first line of her essay, Carey made a reference to her song “Can’t Let Go,” saying, “Summer prolonged… even though I try, I can’t let go!”

She said, adding several cat emojis, “Introducing #DemKittens, the new adopted family members: Nacho & Rocky Jr.
Monroe and Moroccan, her 12-year-old twins who she has with her ex, Nick Cannon, were featured in three of the pictures Carey posted, one of which also included her new furry “family.”
Moroccan is seen holding one of the orange kitties in the picture, while Carey’s sister is holding the other. In the charming family photo, the twins and their famous mother are both beaming.
The fact that one of the cats’ collars still reads Sugar rather than its new name—either Nacho or Rocky Jr.—indicates that the shot was likely taken fairly soon after the family acquired the cats.
The Butterfly singer also posted two adorable mother-daughter pictures with Monroe, along with the cat picture. In one, the DUO, both wearing full-body swimsuits, grinned while floating on foam noodles in the pool. In the second, when Monroe and Carey looked to be customizing individual pies while still dressed in their suits, Carey was in the process of adding sauce to a pizza.
Carey has a long history of being an animal lover, and she has had a lot of four-legged companions. Even her pets joined her in 2021 to perform the classic holiday song “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
In the humorous video, Carey sings the festive anthem as her twins yell out “you” to complete the lyric, causing their pups to bark the final note.
Monroe and Moroccan are commonly seen in Carey’s web videos. The singer dressed up and put on all-denim for a TikTok video with the twins in July. The pair danced with their mother during her song, “Touch My Body.”

A glam team fixed up Carey’s makeup and hair at the start of the video, and she immediately began singing the song. Then her brother appeared on the screen, quickly followed by Monroe.
The twins were dancing with their mother when the statement, “I will hunt you down,” appeared on the video.
“Why not? Jumping on the trend of my own song lol #touchmybody,” Carey said as the TikTok caption.
However, the twins jumped on the craze before her, along with their father, earlier in July. In a video posted to his own TikTok account, Cannon, 42, danced with them to the song.

The host of Wild ‘N Out made sure to acknowledge Carey. He penned the following in the video’s caption: “Only Right!! Shout out to Mommy!!!! The Empress Queen of all Queens!”
