Meghan Markle channels Diana as she dresses in polka dots for polo PDA with Harry

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle demonstrated that they are still the king and queen of PDA by kissing in front of a throng at the polo yesterday, in an emotional scene that was a far cry from Charles and Diana’s unpleasant public contacts.

The Duchess of Sussex, 40, planted a kiss on her hubby as she handed a trophy to his team at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, near their Montecito residence.

Meghan, who was wearing a wide-brimmed hat, a polka dot top, and high-waisted slacks, placed her hands on each side of her husband’s face, while Harry drew her close with a hand on her back.

The emotional embrace, filmed on video for everyone to see, is part of a custom in which polo-playing princes are ‘rewarded’ with a post-match kiss.

On other instances, Prince Charles and Diana were seen locking lips, albeit their PDA was significantly colder than the Sussexes’ passionate times.

Following Charles’ polo triumph in 1985, only a few months after the birth of Prince Harry, the pair enjoyed an uncomfortable and distant kiss.

The world saw the disintegration of their marriage when Diana diverted her head during a kiss in India in 1992, allowing her husband’s tightly pursed lips to make touch with the side of her hair.

The pair appeared uncomfortable on several more instances, with Diana looking downcast while Charles demonstrated his athletic skills on the field.

It is completely different from Harry and Meghan, who couldn’t keep their hands off one other the day before.

After kissing each of Harry’s colleagues on the cheek, she dropped a kiss on his lips while he drew her close with a hand on her back.

Meghan rested a gentle hold on Harry’s arm as a gust of wind threatened to rip her hat off her head, before discovering her lipstick smear and wiping his cheek.

The pair then exited the platform hand-in-hand, displaying their oneness in front of the audience.

Harry and Meghan had invited a number of high-profile people to yesterday’s luncheon in support of local charity.

The Duke of Sussex’s polo squad is also creating its own clothing line in cooperation with popular LA label James Perse to help organizations such as Heal The Ocean.

The Duke of Sussex seemed at ease playing with Figueres, who has come out in favor of Harry and Meghan and is a member of the royal family’s close circle.

The announcement comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to go to London for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend next week.

They will be accompanied by their kids, Archie, three, who was born in the United Kingdom, and Lilibet, 11 months, who has never met her British relatives.

This season, Harry and Meghan have taken their kids to previous polo tournaments, but they were left at home yesterday.

Meghan chose a gorgeous, retro style for her excursion yesterday, sporting her brown hair in huge, bouncy curls beneath her broad brim hat.

She chose a breezy black and white polka dot blouse with a pussy bow that she wore loosely fastened at her breast to dress for the California sun.

The duchess wore it with £670 wide-leg Khaite shorts, which she accessorized with a £410 black patent belt by the designer.

Despite the fact that she had to walk on grass, Meghan chose to wear her £500 Aquazzura shoes.

She completed the monochromatic look with a swipe of red lipstick, diamond earrings, delicate rings, and a gold necklace.
