Air Force veteran Tara Ruby wanted to “normalize” breastfeeding in the military. So she rounded up a bunch of female soldiers with babies and took a photo of all of them breastfeeding their children.
Ten moms volunteered for the photo shoot and all of their commanding officers gave them full approval to do so. The image has been shared on Facebook several thousand times.
Says Tara: “Today I believe we made history. To my knowledge, a group photo to show support of active duty military mommies nursing their little’s has never been done before.”
