A lottery winning couple’s neighbor wishes they would repair a damaged fence after winning £184 million in the Euromillions draw.
Faith Cox is hoping that Jess and Joe Thwaite would keep their word after promising to repair a fence that separates their two homes.
Mrs Cox, 74, wished the couple well but attempted to fix the building after one of the couple’s hens fled from their property.
The 74-year-old stated that she was blown away when she learned they’d won the lotto. She just hopes they don’t go away, they promised to rebuild the fence.
It’s wonderful to have friendly neighbors, and they’re a beautiful family; but, the fence has been in disrepair for years, and she can’t afford to repair it herself.
She recalls chatting with Joe, and he mentioned that they intended to build a fence between their sites. It would allow her to remove the dreadful temporary barrier.
The couple’s animal collection includes three horses, sheep, chickens, and two dogs.
They purchased the £650,000 property with four acres of land in Gloucestershire earlier this year.
It enabled them to explore their passion for horses while also allowing their girls to perfect their show jumping abilities.
Mrs Cox enjoyed hearing the couple’s two young children playing and wished they would return to the farm, as neither they nor the animals had been seen since their victory on Thursday.
They are also thought to be interested in looking at other residences since their triumph, including Jeremy Clarkson’s Cotswolds property.
The Thwaites’ lives have been irrevocably transformed, and they are “not sure anyone is truly prepared for a win like this.”
Individuals often fantasize about what they would buy with such a large quantity of money, and it often stimulates debate over whether individuals would go public with their victories.
The couple has been wedded for 11 years and has 2 kids, both of whom are in elementary school.
They recently moved into a new home with three dogs, five hens, two geckos, and three horses, two of which are borrowed.
Joe is a communications sales engineer with two university-aged kids from a previous marriage.
Friends congratulated Jess on her Facebook page, with one saying, “Can’t imagine a more worthy family… enormous congrats.”
Jess, who manages a hairdressing shop with her sister, says her father, who died seven years ago, constantly played the lotto and hoped of winning it.
She had been “rough” in recent years, and they were “just like many people and families around the country.”
She explained that her sister and she have tried to take care of the business and the 20 employees, but things are tough in hairdressing. Joe has been working hard, and we have always tried to do everything we could for the children.
