Costco is well-known for its hearty sweets, among other things. The members-only warehouse club understands how to satisfy sweet tooths throughout the country, with items ranging from a roughly 2.5-pound log of tiramisu to a massive 7-pound chocolate cake. Now, just in time for Pi Day, word has emerged that a new delight is on its way to shop shelves, and the product is, well, another big boy.
On March 12, TikTok user @costcohotfinds, real name Laura Lamb, published a video that sparked the curiosity of pie-lovers all over the internet. The Dallas-area Costco maven discusses her experience with the store’s new 4.5-pound, $19.99 Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie in her video, which has almost 3 million views in less than 24 hours.

Lamb says in the video that for the first time ever, the Costco bakery brought out a peanut butter chocolate cream pie, and she is screaming. Her all-time favorite is peanut butter pie, and this Costco pie weighs four and a half pounds. It’s enormous.
Lamb adds that the pie features a buttery graham cracker crumble shell and a “perfect” peanut butter and chocolate mousse mix in the middle. This one is incredibly wonderful, she says as she bites into it.
Millions of people have left comments on Lamb’s TikTok and Instagram videos about how they want to get their hands on the Costco item.
Several readers wondered where they might obtain the pie, with one user asking, how can they find out when this will be available in particular locations?
Costco, however, refused to comment on this.
When she realized it was popping up at Costco, she instantly wanted to find out where she could buy herself one of these pies, Lamb says she was one of the first to try Costco’s newest family-sized treat. When she took it home, it was really breakfast at that time since she got home by like 10:20 and immediately ate a piece and handed a slice to her kid, who was startled she was feeding him pie so early. Then he took one taste and said, “Oh my God, Mum, this is like a gigantic peanut butter cup.”
To be honest, it’s rich, yet it’s also light and fluffy. It’s half peanut butter, half chocolate cream, with that crumbly Graham Cracker crust, Lamb says. It’s simply very excellent.
Although the pie isn’t presently available on the Costco website, other pies, such as the 6-pound “Tootie Pie 11″ Large Original Apple Pie” for $59.99, are. And don’t worry if you can’t get the Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie at your local Costco just yet.
One knows that Costco loves to give something away and then take it back for a short time, Lamb says, adding that she was able to snag the pie over the weekend since a bakery friend gave her the inside scoop that it was hitting stores. As long as it’s available, she’ll buy it and take it to all the barbecues this spring.
If you want to taste the pie for yourself, Lamb recommends calling the bakery before going to your local Costco. I followed her advise and called my East Coast Costco, where someone told me that although it wasn’t in stock now, it may be in a couple of weeks.
Lamb adds that by the end of the day, they had eaten maybe a fifth of the pie, which is a lot. It could simply be sliced into 16 pieces. So she ended up being quite kind and bringing it over to her neighbor’s home.
