A pizza delivery man from Pennsylvania has become popular online for his help in assisting the police to capture a fleeing suspect. The incident occurred while Tyler Morrell was delivering a pizza order to a customer, and he noticed a dark-colored vehicle being chased by police. As he walked towards the sidewalk to get a better view, one of the two alleged car thieves jumped out of the car and ran towards him.
Morrell quickly responded by sticking his foot out to trip the fleeing suspect while still holding the pizza order. The suspect fell to the ground and was apprehended by the police.
The Brookhaven Police Department thanked Morrell for his help and even offered him a job. Despite receiving overwhelming support from the public, some negative feedback had him second-guessing what he did. Morrell sympathized with the youth, stating that they have been failed by society and their parents, and that they need more support.
