On Tuesday night, officials received a terrifying 911 call from the residence of Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz.
Houston cops responded to a call reporting a juvenile with self-inflicted stab wounds.
A 14-year-old was reported to local cops with self-inflicted stab wounds on their arms. Cruz’s family resides in the River Oaks area, where the adolescent was discovered.
The adolescent was sent to the hospital. Officials were unable to determine if the 911 call involved a member of Cruz’s family. Cruz’s staff did, though, issue a statement on Tuesday night.
This is a family situation, and their daughter is well, Cruz’s attorneys said in a statement. There were no significant injuries reported. At this time, the family wishes that the media respect their daughter’s privacy.
Ted Cruz’s family garnered unwanted attention earlier this year following accusations that his youngest daughter was bisexual. She was said to have told her ordeal in a series of now-private TikTok videos. She also discussed her difficulty to deal with her dad’s conservative ideas in them.
