On the official family website, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been demoted to the bottom of the totem pole.
The royal family appears to have shunned Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, sidelining them to the bottom of the official royal website with the disgraced Prince Andrew.
The “The Royal Family” link on the official royal website allows visitors to discover more about each member of the royal family. Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the article was modified to reflect King Charles III’s reign.
Following Charles is his wife, the Queen Consort Camilla, who is followed by the next monarch, the Prince of Wales, William, and Princess of Wales, Catherine.
In what appears to be a snub, Prince Harry does not accompany his older brother and his wife, but instead the Earl and Countess of Wessex, popularly known as Edward and Sophie.
Edward, the late Queen Elizabeth’s youngest kid and Duke of Edinburgh, is not even in the direct line of succession to the throne.
Following Prince William, his eldest son, Prince George, is succeeded by his daughter, Princess Charlotte, and his youngest child, Prince Louis. Prince Harry would be granted the keys to the kingdom after Prince Louis.
Following the passing of the Queen, Harry’s relationship with his family has been under tremendous examination. After stepping down as senior royals in 2020, he and the Duchess of Sussex essentially relinquished some perks or military recognitions.
Buckingham Palace said in February 2021 that the honorary military postings and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess would thus be restored to Her Majesty, before being dispersed among working members of The Royal Family.
The only royal member ranked lower than Harry and Meghan on the website is Prince Andrew, who has been virtually isolated from his family. The Duke of York, who settled out of court after being charged with sexual assault, had his titles permanently revoked and restored to the queen in January.
Harry and Andrew no longer hold the HRH designation as a result of these new status modifications.
With this latest disrespect to Harry and Meghan, the king’s bond with his youngest child stays shaky.
