Prince Harry’s ‘Gentlemanly’ Gesture Toward Meghan at Windsor Walkabout Showed Up William

Prince Harry’s ‘Gentlemanly’ Gesture Toward Meghan at Windsor Walkabout Showed Up William Following Queen Elizabeth’s death on September 8, all attention has been on the royal family more than usual in the days since. And, following a surprise joint appearance by Prince Harry, Prince William, and their spouses at Windsor Castle over the weekend, royal fans are criticizing William for not being as “gentlemanly” toward Kate as Harry is toward Meghan.

On Saturday, the entourage arrived at Windsor Castle to greet well-wishers.

Given William and Harry’s longstanding dispute, seeing the brothers and their spouses together for the first time in a long time was an unexpected gesture of solidarity.

But it didn’t stop people watching at home from scrutinizing their every action during the event.

Royal supporters were especially interested in what transpired after the group left.

Many Twitter users have pointed out that Harry opened the car door for Meghan before getting in himself, however William didn’t attempt to head around to his side of the car, leaving Kate to be aided by a staff.

“Can someone please beg #PrinceWilliam to be a gentleman to his wife sometimes, at least when in public. #PrinceHarry didn’t think twice b4 opening #MeghanMarkle’s door. William left poor Kate to fend for herself,” one person wrote.

Many people flocked to social media to praise Harry for being such a gentleman, with some even saying that his late mother, Princess Diana, would be pleased.

“I love how Harry opened the door for his wife and made sure she was inside the car before getting in the car himself. A true gentleman,” one person shared.

Onlookers saw that William and Kate strolled with some gap between them when they initially reached their location, but Meghan and Harry were holding hands as soon as they stepped out of the car.

This was not a great look for Will … yet to be honest, he was grieving the passing of someone extremely close to him.

What counts most is that they were able to unite together for such an important occasion.

After all, they may disagree, but they’re still family and both William and Harry have lost a grandmother and witnessed their father ascend to the throne in a matter of days.

Let’s hope this is the beginning step toward repairing the brothers’ shattered friendship.
