Consider this father from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Ciarán Shannon, Niamh’s father, intended to show the world how proud he was of his daughter one day. He came to Twitter and uploaded three images of his adorable daughter at various phases of her academic life.

He wasn’t expecting what occurred next.
His only objective was to express his pride in his daughter; little did he anticipate that his simple social media post would become viral.
He has just been watching the numbers rise and rise, he explained. It’s like monitoring the electric meter when the dryer is running. He is astounded by the response to his photos, he continued. The good news is that about a million individuals now understand how proud he is of his kid.
The three photos show Ciarán and Niamh holding hands and standing in front of their house; it was the same location however at different times.
Niamh’s first day at St. Therese of Lisieux Primary School in September 1999 was captured in the oldest photograph. The second image was captured on her last day of school in May 2013, and the last one was taken during her university graduation in the summer of 2018.
