On Friday night, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his partner Dr. Dana Blumberg wedded in a star-studded surprise ceremony in New York City.
Former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was among the A-list guests. Vince Wilfork, Drew Bledsoe, Randy Moss, Elton John and Ed Sheeran performed during the occasion. Jon Bon Jovi, Kenny Chesney, and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver were also said to be present.
Kraft, 81, and Blumberg, 47, notified invited guests that they were throwing a “Kickoff and a Touchdown Party” at Lumières in Manhattan yet did not specify whether it was for their wedding. The idea for John to sing at the wedding came up after the celebrity vocalist visited Gillette Stadium last month as part of his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.”
They wished to enter into a zone of sharing happiness with one another and bringing people together, a gossip column insider said.
Myra Nathalie Hiatt, Kraft’s first wife, died of ovarian cancer in 2011. They had been married for over 50 years. Kraft started dating Ricki Lander a year later, but the couple split up in 2018.
Kraft and Blumberg are said to have been dating since 2019 and first appeared together at the French Open. They were married earlier this year.
Blumberg is a leading ophthalmologist in the United States.
