On New Year’s Day 2021, Carvalho, a manager at Mrs. Potato Restaurant in Orlando, Florida, was waitressing a table for Wilson and his family when she realised the guy had not purchased any food for an 11-year-old child at the table.

Officials reportedly stated that the child was secluded on many occasions, made to starve as punishment, hung upside down, and spent Christmas Day chained to a dolly. He was also made to perform strenuous workouts, and if he failed, he would be thrashed, according to officials.
Carvalho vouched for the maltreatment at the preliminary and was credited with protecting the kid’s life.
They would have definitely been discussing a potential homicide investigation if she hadn’t acted when she did, Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolon said.

Wilson’s sentencing date has been set for August 19, 2022, according to Ninth Judicial Circuit State Attorney Monique H. Worrell.’
Carvalho apparently maintains touch with the child more than a year later.
