Eric Straight, 50, of Navarre, Florida, was arrested and prosecuted after being recorded on video outside the bedroom of a 7-year-old child. Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson didn’t mince words when it came to criticising the perp after what he was observed doing.
According to investigators, Straight regularly banged on the window of the 7-year-old girl’s bedroom and even spoke to her without her parents’ consent. Sadly, it wasn’t the worst of it. The girl’s parents had installed cameras outside after thinking something was going on, and what they filmed is enough to make any decent person’s skin crawl.
Straight was captured on film outside her window not only attempting to catch the child’s attention in the middle of the night, but he was also nude. To make matters worse, he had gone to the girl’s window at least five times, according to Sheriff Johnson. Johnson, who called Straight a “scumbag,” claimed he went to the girl’s window three times on a Friday night in an effort to get her notice.
According to an arrest record, the girl’s parents placed the surveillance camera after becoming suspicious of their neighbor, Eric Straight. Straight is a self-professed nudist, according to the report. The property owners and the victim’s parents have expressly advised him in the past that he is not authorized on their property naked.”
Unfortunately, Straight didn’t pay attention to their warning. Rather, he repeatedly went to the girl’s window. Every time he knocks on the window, he’s nude, the sheriff said, clearly disgusted. Straight was also caught on camera removing a screen from the girl’s bedroom window. The parents indicated that the screen was removed from her window twice, police said in their report.
Straight, who looked to be aroused in portions of the frightening film, was identified by the girl’s parents after being recorded on camera late one Saturday wearing a “revealing thong-like outfit,” according to authorities. Straight was arrested and charged with aggravated stalking of a child under the age of 12 and trespassing after her worried dad notified the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff Johnson then conducted a news conference, during which he did not hold back in voicing his feelings about the situation. At the news conferences, occasionally, he get a bit upset because they talk some pretty horrible stuff. But today, he believe they set a record, Sheriff Johnson said before displaying video of Straight outside the child’s window.
Now, he’s not at his house; he’s at his neighbour’s, Johnson added. He is, indeed, nude. Not only is he nude, but the window he’s tapping on belongs to a 7-year-old girl, he added. He understands that window belongs in the bedroom of the 7-year-old,” Johnson told reporters. So he’s aware of that, and he’s nude and pounding on that window?
According to the arrest complaint, the youngster informed officers that she spoke to Eric Straight five times after he knocked on her window, including once when she let him see her dressed up for Halloween. Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson applauded the parents for their patience, saying things might have gone much worse – and if they did, he wouldn’t have faulted the parents.

He is not making this up. A 50-year-old man, nude, pounding on the window of a 7-year-old daughter, Johnson said. I the girl’s father had come out and trampled him into a mud puddle, they’d have been happy with it, he asserted unequivocally. To be honest, He kind of wish it had ended that way.
