Kelly Clarkson appreciates her nanny’s wonderful Mother’s Day gift.
In a recent interview, the 40-year-old vocalist and single mother claimed that she “nearly broke down” last Sunday when her family’s nanny gave her a particularly personal gift in honor of Mother’s Day.
Clarkson remembered that she almost sobbed because her nanny stepped into the kitchen and said, ‘Hey, for Mother’s Day, she is going to give Clarkson the gift of time and can do anything you want.
Clarkson and her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock have two children together: River Rose, 7, and Remington Alexander, 6. After seven years of marriage, the couple divorced in March after parting in June 2020.
The Kelly Clarkson Show host stressed that part of what made her Mother’s Day present so touching was the fact that, as a working parent, free time is limited.
“Are you a single mom?” she asked. “I’m either at work or with children.”
Snoop Dogg, Clarkson’s American Song Contest co-host, joined her in the conversation and sided with her on the matter of free time as a parent. “No one realizes how valuable time is,” the rapper said in response to Clarkson’s touching anecdote.
Beverly Tate, Snoop Dogg’s mother, died in October 2021 at the age of 70. When it came to his Mother’s Day celebrations this year, the iconic rapper said that he focused on his wife of nearly 25 years, Shante Broadus.
Snoop stated that he gave Broadus a “Woman’s Day” party for her and her other mommy pals. The rapper explained that it was all for her and her girlfriends, and that’s what one does, let them have a good time.
Although Clarkson skipped the party for her own Mother’s Day, she raved about the lovely Mother’s Day she was able to spend because of the “gift of time.”
Clarkson added, she had the finest day ever, and it was incredible.
