Brittany Zamora, a 27 year educator from Arizona is alleged of having sex with her 13-year-old student. Prosecutors have revealed texts supposedly sent by the educator who is alleged of having sex with the teen.
Brittany was a former sixth-grade teacher at Las Brisas Academy Elementary School in Goodyear. The teacher was taken into custody after the boy’s father called the school’s principal to report the supposed association. The principal of the Arizona Republic then apparently called police.
Brittany was send to prison for 20 years after pleading guilty to sexual behaviour with a teen and compact charges of public sexual offensiveness and physical assault of a child.
The sixth grade student of Las Brisas Academy told investigators that he and Brittany had sex in her car and class quite a few times.
In her confession at Maricopa Superior Court, Phoenix, Brittany said that she is a decent and honest person who made a fault and regret it extremely. She continued saying that she lived her life valuing and trying to follow every law and she is not at all a danger to the society.
As per the reports, after making an apology to the victims and her family, she told the Judge that she intended to receive a new degree in prison so she could begin a new life when she got out of the custody.
Brittany will have to roll as a sex offender when she is out of jail and then serve two lifespan terms of probation. She filed for separation from her husband of four years from behind bars and said their bond was damaged beyond restoration.
Brittany imprisoned at the Arizona State Prison Complex in Perryville, assisted education staff in schooling the prisoner students in a group setting. Her teaching space is also under video observation at all times and observed by security personal.
Brittany had demanded to do the teaching work and was permitted subsequent a selection procedure. The agency said she met the necessities for the role because she had not faced any corrective issues while she was confined.
