Twin brothers and their friend save drowning dad: “Jesus was standing right behind us the whole time”

In Birmingham, Alabama, a man who almost drowned in his own pool last week was rescued by his sons and a pal.

Brad Hassig was swimming in his home pool with his boys, Bridon and Christian, all 10, and their buddy, Sam Elbert, as per sources.

Brad himself explained that he enjoys doing breathing techniques in the water because it helps him relax.

However, something went wrong on this specific day.

He enjoys being under water, Brad added. It’s something he does on a regular basis.

When he does this, he says the Lord’s Prayer. It’s almost like a meditation. He doesn’t recall finishing it.

Brad recalled feeling comfortable and at ease after starting his breathing exercises. Christian, his son, said that his father was trembling and lying on his side in the water.

Because he was wearing goggles, he could see his face was going a very pale blue, Christian explained.

Dad’s not OK, he told Bridon.

Bridon and Christian worked together to rescue their father from the water through the steps. Brad was no longer responsive at this point, but his boys were quick to respond.

According to sources, Bridon started CPR as Christian fled for aid.

He started with some CPR and then moved on to mouth to mouth. Then he began vomiting froth, salt water, and blood, Bridon explained.

It was like he was smacked on his side, Brad explained.

When Brad awoke, he was coughing up blood and water, straining to breathe, and there were people all around him. ‘Daddy, daddy, come back!’ yelled his one child.

Brad was transported to the hospital and admitted for 24 hours to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Meanwhile, his boys claimed that they understood how to save somebody’s life by watching movies.

He means his feelings are just overpowering  since his children saved his life, Brad explained.

Wow! Thank goodness Brad’s two sons were around to save his life.

Please share this story to urge folks to always exercise caution when near or in water. Meantime, please leave a remark if you wish to send prayers Brad’s way!
