‘Unlikely’ Meghan wrote Charles a letter requesting one on one meeting after Queen’s funeral

Prince Charles’ choice to visit Balmoral today calls into question a royal reporter’s ‘very implausible’ assertion that Meghan Markle wanted a ‘one-on-one’ meeting with the King following the Queen’s burial.

Neil Sean, an entertainment journalist said he had heard from a “very credible source” that the American actress had written to the king demanding a private meeting. He claimed Meghan wants to ‘clear the air,’ following rumours that the pair would return to the United States as soon as possible to meet their kids, Archie, three, and Lilibet, one.

However, the King and Camilla traveled to Scotland to grieve his mother. Charles is known to desire to mend his connection with his son and wife, even declaring how much he loved them in his first speech as King, making it very improbable that he would refuse such a request if it came, according to one insider.

Charles also intervened to ensure Harry could wear military uniform when guarding Her Majesty’s casket in Westminster Hall on Saturday, putting the Sussexes at the heart of the Royal Family’s grieving for the Queen, including her magnificent and heartbreaking burial yesterday.

Buckingham Palace and the Sussexes have not responded to the reports, but royal sources stated that Meghan would be ‘very doubtful’ to bother the King as he grieves his mother following her funeral and deals with his first days as King.

Another source claimed it would be ‘strange’ for the Duchess to write to the King directly for a meeting, considering Harry’s unfettered access to his dad.

The Sussexes are expected to be at Windsor, after the Queen’s magnificent state funeral and burial. They are, however, anticipated to depart for Los Angeles as soon as possible.

She’d now like to have a one-on-one meeting with King Charles III before they return to California, Mr Sean said in a YouTube video that has almost 300,000 views. It’s a pretty daring decision by Meghan, Sean added.

It would be a chance to clear the air, distinguish the rights from the wrongs, and clarify some of the logic behind what they’ve been doing over the previous two years, he added of the letter’s substance.

However, Sean cautioned that it is unknown whether the letter will be sufficient for the pair to make peace with the Royal Family.
