A student who went missing while studying abroad in France has been discovered alive and healthy.
Kenny DeLand Jr. went missing some weeks ago. However, his dad disclosed that he had talked to his son. He’s still alive and well, and he’s in Spain.
He is alive — that’s all the father can say, Ken DeLand Sr., the boy’s father stated. He didn’t mention anything about what he’s doing in Spain.
It’s unknown what the 22-year-old has been up to for the previous two weeks, or why he didn’t contact his family sooner. The news of DeLand’s whereabouts came just after his dad finished up with a broadcaster with whom he had been addressing the issue. After he hung up, he received word that his kid was fine and messaged the announcer to relay the good news.
The student’s relatives had expressed concern and stated that they were dreading the worst. The senior at St. John Fisher University in Rochester had been attending the Université Grenoble Alpes in France and hadn’t spoken to his family since November 27, when he messaged them on WhatsApp.
On November 29, he was reported missing by his classmates, who noted he appeared depressed.
