Queen Consort Camilla’s kids are not in the line of succession.
The title Queen Consort denotes to the wife of a King who is the monarch and is not the same as Queen. Since Tudor times, the only other British Queen Consorts have been Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and Queen Mary of Teck, a German Princess who was born in the United Kingdom.
Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, who died at the age of 101, lived longer than any previous royal consort, yet she did not retain the status of consort at the time of her death because her husband, King George VI, died 50 years before her.
There is no historical precedence for stepchildren of a royal being raised up through the ranks or taking on any obligations, with Camilla being just the third British-born Queen Consort since the 1500s.
Camilla’s status as Queen Consort is contingent on her husband, King Charles III. Camilla will lose her title of Queen Consort when the King abdicates and the next in line, William, takes over.
