During their father’s sentencing Monday morning, the daughters of a killed San Antonio lady had harsh words for him. Brian Ramos was found guilty of the murder of his wife of 17 years, Josephine Ramos.
It’s not fair that he gets to stand here and she doesn’t, the couple’s daughter stated. He made a horrible mistake, and it’s not fair.
During victim impact statements, the girl and her brother stood before Ramos.
Ramos was soon detained after police claimed he shot and murdered his wife on April 1, 2019, in the parking lot of a shopping store off Goliad Road.
The tragic shooting occurred only one day before the couple’s divorce was to be completed.
The daughter stated that he could have gone,” the daughter said. They could have lived somewhere else, and he could have visited, but he chose that. He ruined his mother’s life and believed he could play God and steal it!
Despite his plea of not guilty to a murder charge, a court found Ramos guilty and sentenced him to 35 years in jail and a $2,000 fine.
She stated that she was 14. It’s not fair that she has to graduate without her parents. He can rot in jail, and others can hurt him, and he’ll truly know how it feels! He used to tell her that actions have repercussions, but not anymore.
Ramos’ lawyers stated that he would be eligible for parole after 15 years.
