On Monday, a woman accidently ran over her 18-month-old kid, and the kid died as a result of her wounds. As per the authorities, New York State Police responded to a report about a baby being hit by a car in the driveway of their Schuyler house.
The mom and the victim (her daughter), according to the investigation, had just returned from the grocery shop. The mom was taking groceries inside as her daughter was playing on an outside play set. The mom carried the goods inside and then returned to her vehicle. As the mom began to move her vehicle forward to park, the child dashed in front of it.

“As the mother moved ahead, she drove over her daughter and upon hearing and feeling the hit, she leapt out and instantly raced to where her child was,” according to the news release. The youngster lay still on the driveway. She immediately picked up her kid, drove her home, began providing help, and contacted 911.
Unfortunately, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica ruled the child dead. According to a news release issued by State Police on Monday, the driver is not expected to face any charges.
According to some stories, this isn’t the first time a parent has accidentally run over a youngster. A woman accidently ran over her 10-month-old baby, resulting in the newborn’s death.
An inquiry revealed that the mom of a 2013 Toyota Highlander had left her 10-month-old kid “unrestrained” in the back seat while driving to meet relatives in the area. According to police, the car returned to a property in the 16600 block of Prince William County after going “a short distance to a nearby dumpster.”
But, while some of the driver’s family members were getting into the car, the unrestrained 10-month-old fell out and onto the street. The driver ran out to help her daughter. According to police, the driver never placed the car in park before rushing to aid the child. The infant perished as a result of a severe head injury.
No charges were filed against the parent in this matter, either.
