My wife AND life are beautiful. She is an amazing chiropractor.
This boy, 3 year old Shazu, was diagnosed with a severe form of autism. His mother, an MD, brought him for a NS check when she was finally at the end of her rope. I remember vividly how his first visits he was non-verbal, screaming at the top of his lungs, slamming doors, throwing books, and sprinting circles in the office. It was chaos–our team would mentally prepare and we would “Shazu proof” the office before his visits.
After 2 weeks of chiropractic care, he hugged and kissed his mother for the first time since he was born. Incredible.
The calmness and control that he began to display was only surpassed by his ability to now convey physical emotion.
This picture shows him crawling into Dr. Karen’s arms post adjustment for the longest most loving and grateful hug.
