It was just another ordinary day in Corbin, Kentucky. Eli Hill, a little child, was playing basketball at home when the unimaginable occurred.
Little Eli obtained a stool in order to slam the ball into the basketball hoop. Unfortunately, when he began to do so, the backboard detached from the pole and crashed on the tiny boy’s chest, inflicting terrible damage.

Adam and Ashley Hill’s eldest son was Eli. With his brief time on Earth, he affected many people’s lives. Hundreds of individuals paid their respects. Cameron Combs wrote that as many knew Eli Hill as understood how much pleasure one youngster can bring into a life but also anywhere he is. One could immediately identify one individual who was so important to the sport: the youngster who loved baseball more than anybody else on earth.
His death impacted the whole community. The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement regarding the death, asking that people keep the Hill family in their thoughts and prayers. They also cautioned the public about any GoFundMe accounts set up for Eli Hill, claiming that the family has not set up any such accounts.

According to the Fayette County Coroner, the 8-year-old died as a consequence of major injuries to his chest caused by a board falling on him. After his odd mishap, Eli was transported to the hospital, where he unfortunately died shortly after.
This is a devastating loss for the whole community. Please remember the Hill family in your thoughts and prayers as they cope with this sorrow.
