Turia Pitt, 27, a former model was participating in an ultra-marathon in Australia six years ago when she confined in a bush fire. She was brutally burned on 64 per cent of her body. The doctors said there was a chance she wouldn’t live on. Since the accident Turia has undergone 200 operations. She lost seven fingers and had to spend over two years in retrieval.
When the mishap occurred, Turia’s boyfriend Michael Hoskin left his job as a police officer to look after her. He has always stood by her side and protected her and knew that he was going nowhere.
Turia spoke about the terrible event when the flames trapped her during a 100km event in distant Western Australia. She remembers seeing bits of her skin stuck to the rocks and spinifex. She said and gives details that she felt a bubbling sensation of fear.

Michael proposed to Turia with a diamond ring that he bought for her when she lay in intensive care four years ago. Michael says he proposed to her when they were on vacation in the Maldives.
He tells his bride every day that she is beautiful and the couple got married in 2016.
Turia thanks Michael for all the backing he’s given her throughout the last seven tough years, which she has typically spent in the hospital. Turia said that going to sleep next to her partner she never thought anything of before. Now she thinks how lucky she is to get to sleep next to this lovely man. She said that Michael is a good guy and that she is very lucky to have him in her life.
Since the tragic accident, the couple has reconstructed their lives and battled to move onwards. Michael said that she doesn’t want people to feel regretful for her. She just wants to get on with her life.
But regardless of all of this, they felt there was something absent in their lives. They wanted to become a family.
In 2017, Turia revealed on Instagram that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child. The news spread rapidly from corner to corner in Australia, where people have followed the pair’s journey throughout the years.
The mother-to-be explained that she was keeping herself in shape during her pregnancy, even though she wouldn’t be able to run a marathon for a little while.
Michael and Turia greeted their son Hakavai to the world on 7 December 2017. On 9 February 2020, the couple said that they had welcomed their second child, another son, named Rahiti Hoskin. Today they are happily married and raising their kid together.
Michael and Turia are praiseworthy of being outdone and their story is evidence to what love is all about.
