According to local sources, a Kentucky mom confessed to murdering her newborn kid by hurling him down a second-story railing in 2018.
Amber Bowling pled guilty to the killing of her infant son in court on Monday. Bowling, who was 21 at the time, gave birth to a child in December 2018. According to the station, Bowling placed the sobbing youngster in a garbage bag and hurled the bag over the second-story banister of a Clay County apartment complex.
Authorities reported at the time that the infant was slain barely hours after his mother gave birth to him.
“It’s terrible,” Kentucky State Police Trooper Lloyd Cochran said before the arrest. “It boggles the mind to think of who might have done this and why.”
According to state police, authorities got a complaint in 2018 about a newborn infant who was discovered dead inside a garbage bag on a residence’s front porch. Bowling was accused of killing a day after the finding.
According to Bowling’s arrest citation, the child sustained a skull fracture, fractured ribs, and brain hemorrhaging.
Her sentencing date is set for June 27. The suggested penalty is 40 years in prison.
