TANGLED TIMELINE: Heavily armed police officers reportedly waited in Uvalde hallway for 58 minutes

As per the papers studied by the Austin-American Statesman, several officers were inside Robb Elementary School equipped with rifles and at least one ballistic guard by 11:52 a.m. on May 24, but they didn’t break a classroom gate and take out the killer who murdered 19 children and two adults for almost an hour.

The 18-year-old alleged killer, Salvador Ramos, strolled into the school at 11:33 a.m. then arrived into a couple of adjacent schoolrooms and opened fire.

The fresh information shed light on the ever-changing timeline that law enforcement has delivered about the reply to one of the fatal school gunfire in U.S. history.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, 11 officers go in the school just 3 minutes later. The first officer with a ballistic guard arrived at 11:52 a.m., whereas two other officers with ballistics guard reached at 12:03 p.m. and 12:05 p.m. respectively.

As ballistic guards and extra weapons reached at the sight, certain officers were questioning the strategy. A special agent with the Texas Department of Public Safety reached about 20 minutes after the gunfire started and instantly asked if there were still kids in the schoolrooms. The agent then supposedly said that they just need to go in if there is any child inside.

One more officer responded that it was uncertain if there were any kids in the schoolrooms and the special agent once more repeated the need to go in there. The special agent was then told that whoever was in charge would decide that and the special agent then initiated to help vacate other kids who were still in the school.

Steven McCraw, Texas Department of Public Safety Director, earlier said that the Uvalde school police chief Pete Arredondo, believed that the condition had transitioned from an active firearm to a obstructed focus and that there was time to recover the keys and pause for a strategic squad with the gear to go ahead and break the entrance.

The Statesman reports that after cops go in the school, the killer could be heard shooting inside the schoolroom at 11:44 a.m. and 12:21 p.m. Numerous 911 phone calls were also made from inside the schoolroom, comprising at 12:03, 12:10, 12:13, 12:16, 12:19, and 12:36 p.m.

Eva Mireles, an educator who passes away on the way to the hospice after the gunfire, called her partner, Uvalde school district police officer Ruben Ruiz, and said that she was injured.

According to the body camera record studied, Ruiz told officers that his wife says she is gunshot as he arrived the school around 11:48 a.m.

Officers have also said that law enforcement held back despite the fact they tried to discover a key to open the classroom gate, but it is stated last week that the classroom gate was not closed and no one ever checked the door before breaking it at 12:50 p.m. and taking the killer out.

Officers offered contradictory facts on the timeline in the days after the gunfire, but did not held any media meetings for weeks.

A distinct House committee examining the gunfire has been inquiring law enforcement officers behind closed doors.

One more group made in the Senate will hold a public hearing on Tuesday and Wednesday in which the public and called speakers will affirm on school security, cops drill and social media.
