Meghan Markle is speaking out about adjusting to life after she and her husband, Prince Harry, stepped down as senior working royals. The Duchess of Sussex discussed the difficulties she had in selecting a new house, one of which was being unable to finance a $14.65 million mansion.
After deciding to leave the UK and go to the United States, the pair struggled to find a place to live, constantly reminding themselves that they didn’t have work to support their lifestyle. They were searching in this region [California], and this property kept turning up online in searches, Meghan remarked of their current Montecito mansion in an interview.
She stated that the couple was hesitant to take the house since they couldn’t afford it. They didn’t have any employment, so they weren’t going to go visit this house. It wasn’t going to happen.
She compared it to window shopping when she was younger. It’s as if she’s saying, she doesn’t want to go browse at all the stuff she can’t afford, that doesn’t feel good. Nonetheless, they fell in love with the house and tried all they could to obtain it. It’s therapeutic, one feels free, she said of the couple’s sentiments as they entered the house. The pair would end up buying the mansion with the help of large deals with content firms like Netflix and Spotify.
A vast landscape with interwoven palm trees surrounds their home. The home features nine bedrooms and sixteen bathrooms, as well as a swimming pool and tennis court. Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 2, are the couple’s two kids.
It’s not just Meghan and Prince Harry who are shopping for new homes. Prince William and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, announced their intention to relocate from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage on the Queen’s Windsor Estate. They have been chastised for leading lavish lives amid the present economic downturn, particularly as they want to maintain their Kensington property. Not to add they have a rural house in Norfolk. It was then revealed that the Queen had given them permission to utilize the property.
Meghan Markle is now marketing her new podcast “Archetypes,” which debuted on Spotify last week after a two-year arrangement was revealed in 2020. It’s incredibly lovely to be able to tell one’s own tale when the media has constructed the story around one, the Duchess of Sussex stated.
Meghan is keen to engage with the public through her own voice, rather than being depicted in the media through the voices of others. It’s very true. She has a different feeling and is feeling more focused. It’s as if she is searching for rather than discovering her voice. She’ve had her voice for a long time, but being able to utilize it is a new experience for her, she stated.

Meghan has already lined up some notable guests for her podcast, including Constance Wu, Issa Rae, Lisa Ling, Margaret Cho, and Ziwe, with the discussion expected to center on issues confronting women and the labels that hold them back, such as “old maid,” “dragon lady,” “angry black woman,” and others.
Archetypes is a “multi-year relationship” between Spotify and Archewell Audio, their own production firm. Meghan expressed excitement about the content she will be able to produce for her program. Meghan reportedly feels less stress in the US after living in the UK, where she was followed in public by cameras, making even picking up her kid from school difficult. Sorry, but it is an issue for her. That doesn’t make her a privacy freak. That makes her a strong and caring mom who protects her child, she stated.
