Cancer has always been a burden on society, claiming the lives of so many people. Almost everyone you encounter has been touched in some manner, if not directly, then by having to witness a loved one or buddy struggle.
Few, however, have experienced the terrible sorrow that one Pennsylvania family is enduring after two of its members, a mother and her son, were diagnosed with cancer in a short period of time.
According to sources, Nicole Roche, a wife and mother of 3 kids, revealed her stage IV cancer diagnosis three months ago.
That was awful enough, putting her family through a difficult time of uncertainty. Alas, they weren’t done with unpleasant news.
Nicole’s 4-year-old son, Wesley, was sent to the ER last month after complaining of stomach ache. It was discovered that the little youngster had a huge, malignant tumor in his kidney.
Nicole came to Facebook on September 3 to discuss her family’s difficult experience thus far. Nothing God does is without reason, Roche wrote, announcing Wesley’s diagnosis at the same time.
God loves their baby more than she could ever love him with her human heart, and He has a plan for both of them, and He has planned it in this way so that they might travel the path together.
She didn’t choose this, the courageous mother said, but she is ready for it, she embraces it, and she surrenders to it.
Exactly two months ago today, I made the decision to go public with my cancer diagnosis and actively share my story, no…

According to sources, Wesley has been suffering from severe discomfort in recent months. Nicole added that she never expected to have to witness one of her kids going through the same fight she is, particularly not at the same time.
Exactly two months ago, Nicole said, she took the decision to go public with her cancer diagnosis and openly share her experience, no matter what route it went.
She felt strongly that this diagnosis was an important part of her life narrative and should not be suppressed.
Wesley was allegedly rushed to the emergency room after complaining of stomach discomfort. When his cancer was detected, he was transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for emergency surgery to remove the tumor.
After that, he will have to go through traditional treatment: six rounds of chemo and radiation, Roche wrote. Their family’s tale will now follow the rehabilitation and healing of two individuals rather than one.
She believes Wesley is a strong youngster who will heal, she continued. But, when she lay in that tranquility, she is struck by the weird, surreal character of it all. She’ve been experiencing practically out of body recently, absolutely amazed that this is fact.
Recovery! Some people may look at these photos and see the tubes, the ivs, the monitors, and the hospital setting, but…

Nicole recently confessed in a post that she is inspired by her son’s fortitude. Wes is a lot bolder than she is, she stated.
He inspires her to be stronger like him and confront her own therapy with greater courage. She is not sure if she’ll ever feel at ease with needles, ports, chemo, radiation, or anything else. But if her child is about to take that route, she will accompany him. She’ll be as strong as she possibly can for him. That is something she owe him.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist Nicole’s family in their upcoming cancer battle. It had raised almost $47,000 at the time of writing.
We’re sending all of our strength and love to Nicole and her kid.
