Dawn Lyn, who portrayed Dodie Harper Douglas on the final three seasons of the 1960s and early 1970s sitcom “My Three Sons,” is struggling for her life following a recent operation.
Stanley Livingston, who portrayed her elder brother Richard Douglas, and Tina Cole, who played Katie Miller Douglas, stated the actress had surgery to remove a brain tumor and has been in a coma since.
Livingston said that he and Lyn, who is also well-known for her roles in “Walking Tall” and “Cry Blood, Apache,” went out for lunch only a few months ago and had a great time remembering their days on “My Three Sons.” He then requested that supporters pray for her and her husband- Dawn is one of the sweetest people he has ever met. Her husband, John, is also in their thoughts and prayers at this time. This is heartbreaking news.

Lyn’s brother, Leif Garrett, stated that Lyn had requested that her operation be kept confidential. But, because the news had already been made public, he stated to ‘please keep his sister in one’s prayers and keep the family’s privacy in mind. Thank you very much.’
He appealed for everybody’s patience at this difficult time, saying that he and Lyn had recently experienced a family tragedy, losing both their parents and a cousin.
Lyn lived a very normal and content life until undergoing surgery and falling into a coma. She has been married to her husband, William John Reese, for 16 years.
Lyn’s career began when she was four years old, and she has since acted in a number of films, including “I Love My Wife,” “Daddy’s Girl,” and “People’s Toys.” She has done other things outside acting, such as co-owning a store on Pier 39 in San Francisco.
When questioned if she plans to act again, the “Old Habits Die Hard” star said that while she would not actively pursue any parts, the door is not closed and she is open to new ideas.
She moved to Hawaii in 2006 owing to her husband’s work relocation, and she liked riding her tiny motorbike as well as riding on the back of her husband’s Harley. She also enjoys movie viewing, reading, diving, and trekking with her spouse.
