A North Carolina couple who had been attempting to conceive since their marriage in 2008 welcomed their first child.
Susie, 50, and Tony Troxler, 61, welcomed a baby girl in September 2021 after a more than a decade-long reproductive quest.
Despite everything going against them, the couple then has a 2-month-old child.
Susie, like most couples, assumed they would become pregnant after marriage, but one year moved into two, then three, but when it came to nine, 10, 11 years, they were like, something is up, and she is not sure what it is.
The Greensboro, North Carolina couple suffered various health issues.
However it is not impossible to become pregnant at a later age, there are hazards involved.
When you are in your 50s, you are more likely to develop preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth, and the necessity for a cesarean delivery.
The Troxlers visited a fertility clinic, where specialists attempted a variety of procedures to help them conceive.
Nothing worked, and they were down to their final embryo, Susie explained. When they brought her into the ultrasound room, the first thing they said was, ‘Oh, she’s moving!’ and she said, ‘Yes!’
They are overjoyed. Sleep-deprived, yet completely worthwhile. Susie described her as a “miracle baby.”
Best wishes to the new parents! May your little bundle of joy fulfill all of your expectations and more!
