It is now complete. Valerie Bertinelli’s marriage has ended. After a year of waiting, the actress’s long-awaited divorce has officially been finalized. The Signed, Sealed, Delivered actress stated in a frank film published on social media that her lawyer had just called to notify her that her divorce from ex-husband Tom Vitale had been finalized.
The actress will pay her ex-husband $2.2 million in full, final, and complete settlement and satisfaction of any and all claims between them. According to the filings, Bertinelli and Vitale will not receive spousal support, as set out in the Prenuptial Agreement.
Bertinelli celebrated her divorce on Tuesday by posting a video of herself at the airport on her way to meet her son, Wolfgang Van Halen, 31, a musician.

In May of this year, the actress filed for divorce six months after seeking legal separation in November 2021. The procedures were apparently concluded at the time by a private judge, Hank Goldberg. This includes spousal support and legal bills, as well as the split Premarital Agreement Validity procedure. Bertinelli and Vitale were not present in court.
Vitale claimed spousal support a month after the Golden Globe winner filed for divorce. He also attempted to block Bertinelli from pursuing spousal support and to contest the legitimacy of their prenuptial agreement, according to records filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
During the protracted divorce proceedings, Bertinelli chose to part ways with certain mementos of the failed marriage. Dropped a few things off with @therealreal, she captioned a sequence of photographs of two wedding bands and a pair of sleek brown Jimmy Choo stiletto shoes with diamond studs that she wore on their 2011 wedding day.
A couple of Tiffany rings that have horrible memories linked to them, as well as a pair of shoes she wore to a wedding in January 2011, she said. They should be up and running in a couple of weeks!
On New Year’s Day in 2011, the pair married in front of 100 guests at their cliff-side Malibu house, surprising them with a wedding ceremony when they arrived.
