Brad Pitt let his 105-year-old neighbor live rent-free on his former $39 million Los Angeles house for years, Elvira actress Cassandra Peterson said.
The Oscar winner, 59, who sold his Los Feliz, California, mansion after almost three decades in March, was the ideal neighbor to his elderly pal when his wife died, enabling him to become a renter on the land.
Peterson, 71, who became Pitt’s next-door neighbor after selling her house to him in 1994, claimed Pitt had enlarged his estate by collecting adjacent homes, one of which belonged to a man in his early nineties.
He was very, very friendly to the spouse, she recalled. His wife died, and his spouse, John, resided there. She is aware that Brad let him live there for free until he died.
That was amusing because John lived to reach 105. She is sure Brad was thinking, Well, he can live there till he dies, which might be any minute now.
Peterson claims that the actor was always ‘warm and nice’ to her throughout their years as neighbors and that she ‘nearly fainted’ when she saw him nude and hitting a bag in preparation for the 1999 film Fight Club.
Pitt sold his complex this month after almost three decades of owning and upgrading it.
The actor sold it for $39 million, a far cry from the $1.7 million he paid for it when he got it from horror legend Elvira in 1994.
The home was first advertised for $45 million in January, but it’s unknown what caused the price decrease.
Pitt notably shared the house with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and their six children before their 2016 divorce, but he also lived there alone for a long time.
