Clint Eastwood is hard at work on his next picture as a director, but it may be the final one we see him in.
According to rumours, the legendary Hollywood performer is contemplating retiring from directing after his next film, Juror #2, which seems to be a courtroom thriller.
Insiders close to the actor have shed some light on Eastwood’s future intentions, stating that his next film might be the last of his long and successful career.
If Juror #2 gets produced, it will be Eastwood’s 40th film as a director. The 92-year-old most recently directed and starred in Cry Macho (2021), yet he has a long list of award-winning films under his belt, namely Letters from Iwo Jima and Flags of our Fathers (2006), Million Dollar Baby (2004), American Sniper (2014), and Sully (2016).
Juror #2 will center on a guy who was called to deliberate on a murder case only to discover that he may have been the cause of the victim’s death.
The juror must battle with the quandary of whether to deceive the jury to preserve himself, or confess the truth and turn himself in as the trial progresses.
Juror #2 is in the works with Warner Bros., with Eastwood having worked with the company for the duration of his dazzling career.
According to reports, the picture has been “internally labelled” as the Dirty Harry star’s last feature; however, other speculations suggest that he may return.
While the actor-turned-director is clearly a busy guy, he nevertheless takes time to enjoy his life by drastically restricting his job obligations. Clint Eastwood’s daughter, Francesca Eastwood, recently commented about what a wonderful grandpa dad has been.
She captioned photos of the megastar with his grandson Titan, “Best dad.” “The best grandfather.” Others in the comments were eager to point out how similar the two appeared.
Clint’s daughter, Laurie Murray, has a son named Lowell Tomas Murray, who has spoken openly about his grandpa. What he would say is that he’s been a fantastic father to his mom and always kind to him and his family whenever they visit him, he said of Eastwood.
I don’t know about you, but I’d want Clint Eastwood to keep creating movies indefinitely. He has such a unique gift!
