Cher, 76, announced her connection with Edwards, 37, on her own social media account first. In November 2022, the celebrity uploaded a snapshot of Edwards on Twitter, captioned simply with a love heart emoji.
Of course, this sparked discussion, as people became aware of Edwards’ age and the large age gap between him and Cher – a stunning 40 years! Nevertheless, the singer strongly defended their relationship in a series of comments on the social media site.
She stated in a series of tweets that the pair met during Paris Fashion Week and that he had been treating her extremely well. “He better be treating you like the queen you are!” one admirer remarked, to which Cher answered, “LIKE A.”
Another fan inquired if Cher’s longtime closest friend Paulette Howell had met Edwards, to which Cher answered, “No… “Everyone in my family has,” implying that the connection is already serious.
