Tim McGraw is celebrating another year of Faith Hill!
The Standing Room Only singer posted a lovely social media tribute on Thursday to wish his wife, a fellow country musician, a happy birthday.
“Happy birthday to the love of my life, my partner, and my best friend. You light up every room you walk into, and you light up my heart and soul,” McGraw, 56, wrote on Instagram, alongside a stunning throwback portrait of Hill, who celebrated her 56th birthday.
“I love you more than I could ever express in a million years,” he continues. “This is your day my love!!!!♥️😘.”
Audrey, their 21-year-old daughter, said, “The most beautiful. Inside and out.” Meanwhile Maggie, 25-year-old daughter, commented, “Ugh pls adopt me.”
They also have a 26-year-old daughter named Gracie.
McGraw said at his August One Last Thing performance that he and Hill often go on date nights now that they are empty nesters.
They’ll prepare a substantial supper at home, put on ’80s music, and light candles everywhere, he added. They strive to do that often. In fact, the girls ask if they haven’t been here a little too long when they return home.
In the same month, McGraw said that the foundation of their 26-year union was a commitment they made when they initially made the decision to wed.
Just a few months after being engaged, McGraw married Hill in Rayville, Louisiana, at his aunt’s home in 1996. He does not know if there’s a key to their relationship.
He stated that they usually say they’re 27 years old and that in show business, it’s like 96. It’s almost like dog years.
In addition, McGraw said, they just made a commitment early on, when they first decided they were going to get married and have kids, that they wouldn’t just walk out the door when problems arose.
At a concert in Nashville in 1994, McGraw and Hill first connected. McGraw proposed while on tour at a country music event two years later.
