Dylan Siegel was only 6 years old back in 2012 when he wrote a book. He didn’t just write it to be doing something. He wrote it to raise money for his friend, Jonah Pournazarian, who suffers from a disease that makes it difficult to fight off infections.
That book was titled, “Chocolate Bar.” Chocolate bar is what the characters in the book say about things that are really great, such as, “I like to go to the beach… that is so Chocolate Bar!”
All the money raised from it went directly into a research fund for the disease. And, incredibly, that book, written by a 6-year-old, has made more than a million dollars in sales, with more than 25,000 copies being sold in more than 60 countries.
Says Dylan of his friend Jonah: “I hope it will mean that he will be all better for the rest of his life and won’t have to deal with this anymore.”
