On Thursday (August 17) afternoon, Asghari announced to his Instagram followers that he and Spears had chosen to “end their journey together” after six years of “love and commitment.”
“We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other, and I wish her the best always,” Asghari added.
“S**t happens.
“Asking for privacy seems ridiculous, so I will just ask for everyone, including the media, to be kind and thoughtful.”
Asghari alleged ‘irreconcilable disagreements’ in his divorce case against the 41-year-old musician.
Britney hasn’t commented on the divorce since it became public, although she did make an odd remark about something completely unrelated.
The mother-of-two posted a photo of herself riding a horse on the beach, suggesting that she intends to purchase one for herself.
In her bikini top and shorts, she smiled and added in the caption, “Buying a horse soon!!! So many options it’s kinda hard!!! A horse called Sophie and another called Roar???
“I can’t make up my mind!!! Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on??? Either way I think I found my sweet spot with Roar!!!”
Given the seriousness of what is going on in her life, this seems a bit unconnected.
According to reports, Britney and Sam signed a prenuptial agreement before getting married last summer.

It is claimed that court records show Sam requesting spousal support and legal expenses from the singer.
According to these court filings, Asghari’s lawyer, Neal Hersh, may fight their prenup.
Sam has yet to determine the full nature and extent of each party’s separate property assets and obligations, the statement allegedly said.
There are different collective and quasi-community assets and obligations, the type and amount of which Sam is unaware of at this time.
