Katie Kelzenberg, a senior at Oklahoma’s Stillwater High School in 2018, realized it was a long shot. However, because prom only happens once in a lifetime, why not aim for the stars?
So Katie took a risk and invited her hero Dwayne Johnson, dubbed The Rock, to the prom. She shared her video “proposal” to Twitter knowing she was unlikely to receive a reply. After all, Dwayne Johnson is the world’s most famous actor.
Days passed, and there was still no news from The Rock. That comes as no surprise!
Katie sat in with the rest of the class for morning announcements the following Friday. It was simply another day, the kids reasoned.
A man’s voice suddenly came over the loudspeaker during the customary announcements.
“Good morning to the students of Stillwater Area High School, this is Dwayne Johnson… commonly known as The Rock.”
Katie was about to have the shock of her life.
