Anne Heche experienced a devastating brain injury and is unlikely to recover.

According to her spokesperson, Anne Heche sustained a catastrophic brain injury in the seconds following her collision into a home, and as a result, the actress is not expected to live.

Anne’s agent tells in a statement made Thursday night, sadly, owing to her accident, Anne Heche sustained a serious anoxic brain damage and remains in a coma, in critical condition.  She is unlikely to survive.

It has long been her wish to donate her organs, and she is being maintained on life support to assess whether any are viable, the representative says.

Her spokesperson concludes, Anne had a big heart and her giving attitude affected all she encountered. More than her remarkable skill, she considered her life’s mission as spreading compassion and joy, particularly shifting the needle for tolerance of who you love. She will be recognized for her brave sincerity and will be much missed for her light.
