The piano prowess of Anthony Hopkins is on display.
The 85-year-old actor from The Silence of the Lambs posted a video of himself on the piano in a hotel lobby on Tuesday with the caption “Tuesday tunes.”
Hopkins added in the post, “When an empty hotel lobby is the perfect venue…,” while playing a classical piece for his Instagram fans.
He rose from the Alfonsi piano to a wave of applause from the hotel personnel despite the absence of hotel visitors. He was dressed in a black jacket, black jeans, and New Balance shoes.
“Imagine walking into your hotel and Sir Anthony Hopkins is just playing the piano 👀❤️🔥👏,” one fan wrote in the comment section, while another said, “What a privilege to get to hear you play. Thanks for sharing.
In appreciation of the admirers of his NFT art series, the Eternal Collection, Hopkins released another piano video with his audience back in February. Hopkins stated that it was a self-composed song titled “Eternal” that he had written.
“Over the last few years, I’ve been composing this piano piece…,” the actor wrote at the time. “Today I am titling it “Eternal” in gratitude to all The Eternal NFT collectors. Your support and engagement continue to inspire me. I hope you enjoy it. @orangecometnft @opensea.”
The actor honored his 47 years of sobriety in December by posting an encouraging video to Instagram. Hopkins urged his followers who were struggling with addiction to get treatment by speaking with someone or enrolling in a 12-step program, saying that he was a “recovering alcoholic.”
Hopkins added in the film, “I didn’t recognize that it was a type of sickness—a mental, physical, and emotional condition called alcoholism, or addiction. “I didn’t realize that it was a kind of condition—a mental, physical, and emotional condition called alcoholism, or addiction,” Hopkins said in the video. “And I’m not an expert on drugs—II’m not an expert on anything. I know nothing. Except I have found a life where no one bullies me.”
