Jade Ward and her four kids, Aspen, Kalila, Nevaeh, and Elodie, resided in Adelaide, Australia. Elodie and her family started having a newborn in the house after receiving her.
She could hear the fire alarm and the screams of her elder son, Aspen. Ward and her boyfriend were in charge of three toddlers as well as a newborn. Nonetheless, they adored their bundles of joy and felt fortunate to have a house filled with their children’s cackles and cries.
Elodie, the couple’s youngest child, started cluster feeding at five weeks and had a cold. Ward noticed her newborn girl was having difficulty latching due to a clogged nose one day and spent many hours caring for her.
It was quite difficult for the Australian mother to care for her infant while also caring for her other 3 kids. Ward requested her spouse to take the infant to the hospital after work on July 8, 2021, believing that prompt treatment would help her feel better.
While Elodie accompanied her father to the hospital, Ward placed the two older kids, Aspen and Kalila, on the couch with their feeding bottles and blankets. She put her third child, Nevaeh, who was 18 months old at the time, in her crib and put on a DVD for the children.
When the mother of four noticed that her kids were calm and ready for a sleep, she walked into another room and put on a movie. She kept her baby monitor on since she knew her partner would be back soon with baby Elodie.
Ward had no intention of falling asleep, but she was so fatigued that she did. When she eventually awoke, the house was in a state of disarray. She could hear the fire alarm and the cries of her elder son, Aspen.
Ward stated that she raced directly into the lounge when she noticed flames and smoke. Even young Nevaeh’s infant crib was on fire, yet she was unharmed. Ward stated that she fetched a hose and extinguished the flames.
Soon after, her sister arrived, followed by an ambulance and a man claiming to be a burns specialist. Although Nevaeh suffered a slight burn on her nose that would ultimately cure, her elder brother Aspen, who was four at the time, was covered in scars.
Ward then learnt of her son’s bravery in putting his own life on the line to save his infant sister. She remembered that Aspen understood she was in difficulty and he said he stepped in to save Nevaeh.
When Aspen saw his sister’s crib engulfed in flames, he went in to save her, bearing the brunt of the fire with him. While the crib collapsed beneath his weight, his mother claims he kept Nevaeh from becoming stuck within, which saved her life.
All Aspen intended to do was protect his younger sister like a protective big brother, and he did just that. Ward had this to say about her heroic son- Most grownups would not be so daring. She don’t think he realizes how unique it is and what he has accomplished.

The South Australian homeowner revealed that her warrior son would gaze at his burns and worry what other children at school thought of them. He says at school that he wants to conceal his burns since he wants the children to play with him and he doesn’t want to be tormented because of his burns, she continued.
Little Aspen will have a long process of healing since his burns will almost certainly necessitate many surgeries and therapies. Ward, on the other hand, mentioned that none of it was strong enough to dampen her sweet boy’s spirits or his deep affection for his baby sister. She stated, he ‘s both hers and his sister’s hero.
Following the terrible occurrence, the mother-of-four established a GoFundMe appeal to cover her son’s medical bills and to help renovate her home. Ward gushed over her hero kid, saying she was very proud of his strength and wonderful heart.
Certainly, what Aspen did for his little sister deserves love, appreciation, and encouragement. Please keep this darling superman and his family in your thoughts and prayers, and share your love and gratitude for him in the Facebook comments area.
