75-year-old Gerry Suttle of Riesel, Texas, had let the empty lot she owns across from her home get a little out of hand. As a matter of fact, the grass had grown to 18 inches high and, because of that, she was in violation of city code.
When she did not appear at a hearing on it, a warrant was issued for her arrest. When news of that reached four boys that didn’t even know her, they wanted to help out and keep her out of jail.
So they decided to mow that lot for her. Gerry claimed she never received the notice to appear in court, but she was certainly glad the boys bailed her out with their kind gesture.
