Food thieves are widespread at the workplace and they are generally the folks you least expect to be taking your food or drinks. Read this story below to find out how this woman put an end to somebody stealing her special drink and how would you react to this situation?

I (23f) took my first job one month after I gave birth to my youngest daughter.
It was difficult for me to work graveyard at a call center and since I am breastfeeding both (two) of my daughters, I couldn’t always drink anything with caffeine.
So, in order to keep me awake, I make my own special drink. I always bring two bottles of it, I put the other one on the fridge in the pantry while I bring the other one with me on my desk. After lunch, I would grab my extra.
After a while, I noticed that the bottles aren’t full anymore. Until one time, it’s just empty.
I wanted to know who’s been stealing my drinks so I brought three bottles (2 of those stayed in my bag)
The extra (3rd) bottle, instead of sugar, I poured A LOT OF SALT. It was at least 30% salt. (Edit:) DURING lunch break, I placed the bottle in the fridge and waited patiently. And there she goes! She opened the fridge, went straight for my bottle, and CHUG! CHUG! PUKE! Literally spit at the floor then ran to the toilet. I will never forget the look on her face.
That probably wont stop her from stealing so just to play safe, I never left any of my food or drinks in the fridge ever again.

EDIT: I’m gonna add my comment if anyone’s interested about the “special drink”
I am sorry to disappoint and I probably shouldn’t have called it “special drink” but the reason was because
everyone else at that company either bought their coffee from the nearby starbucks, 7/11, or was made from those instant 3in1 coffee – I made my own according to my taste
3 tbsp of Milo 3 tbsp of Ovaltine 2 tbsp of Coffee Mate creamer powder 2 tbsp of white sugar 500ml of water
and sometimes I would add
1/2 tbsp of black coffee
Best served cold, with lots of ice and if feeling crazy, a scoop of soft vanilla ice cream from 7/11
EDIT: I only add 1/2 tbsp of coffee because I shouldn’t be drinking too much caffeine
EDIT:
If you’re a breastfeeding mother, don’t follow my measurements. I recently found out through the comments that it was not a good idea.
Here’s a measurement for those who wants to try the not so-sweet version:
- 500ml water
- 1tbsp Milo
- 1tbsp Ovaltine
- 1tbsp Creamer
- 1/2 tbsp sugar (skip if you’re adding 1scoop vanilla ice cream)
- 1 tbsp black coffee (add more if you want)
- lots of ice or serve hot
EDIT: I should clear a few things up:
- this happened over 3 – 4 yrs ago, I was 19
- it was one month after I gave birth to my youngest
- it was my first ever job
- I worked graveyard, was told that caffeine is bad for breastfeeding, I needed the sugar boost to keep me awake because I rarely get sleep at home
