The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) verified that Amanda Bynes has been put on a psychiatric hold after her discovery strolling entirely nude in California.
Around 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to a report of a 36-year-old female standing “totally naked” on the junction of Vermont Avenue and 4th Street in Los Angeles.
The LAPD stated that Bynes looked to be “suffering from mental illness,” and the American actress was placed on psychiatric hold based on remarks she made.
Officers were unable to elaborate on the comments; however, it was established that Bynes was brought to the hospital. Being placed on psychiatric hold is usually for 72 hours, but this may be prolonged.
The announcement about the former Nickelodeon child star follows her absence from the 90s Con event in Hartford, Connecticut, over the weekend.
Since Bynes missed the cast reunion, her old “All That” co-stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell offered a heartfelt message.

Bynes’ presence at the media conference would have been her first public appearance since her conservatorship ended in March 2022, which lasted eight years.
Court papers acquired at the time revealed that Bynes’ case was heard in Ventura County.
The documents indicate that the court expects to grant the petition for termination and order that Amanda Bynes’ conservatorship over her person be terminated.
The court ruled the conservatorship was “no longer warranted” in a provisional order.
