Cops Reaction To Young Man Giving CPR To A Squirrel On The Roadside.

Saving a life is a big deal, and if you’ve ever done it, give yourself a pat on the back, because you sure deserve it.

Minnesota police officers Jeremy Halek and Tony Weeks were on routine patrol when they spotted a car in the middle of the road with its driver-side door opened. So they pulled over and went to investigate.

As they walked slowly up to the car, they could see a young man just off the side of the road, and it looked like he was trying to revive a small animal.

When they got closer, they could see the man, identified later as 19-year-old Chris Felix, was giving CPR to a squirrel that had darted out in front of his car. He told police he didn’t think he hit it but wanted to take a few minutes to try to bring it out of unconsciousness.

As the officers looked on, Chris tapped gently on its belly. He then turned the squirrel right side up and started stroking it. Within a few minutes, the squirrel started coming around, and then it shot off into the nearby trees.

The officers each gave Chris a high-five for taking the time to bring the animal… back from wherever it went and told him they may have to nominate him for a life-saving award. Chris laughed and everyone there had a good and quite memorable day.
