In the midst of Tuesday’s horrific massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, a custom coffin maker in Texas is assisting victims and their families.
Trey Ganem, 50, of SoulShine Industries in Edna, has gone out to and personally visited with several of the victim’s families, and has committed to build unique caskets for each.
Ganem said during an interview that the caskets would be devoted to each deceased and will assist their families recall the great aspects of their lives.
According to the report, Ganem expressed that this coffin is for an adult, for a really lovely individual who attempted to safeguard kids. He sat next to the family. After hearing the stories, he was pulled to this coffin.
Interacting with the families and learning about the victims, according to the coffin maker, was essential in imagining and finally building the individualized caskets.
Ganem continued that creating that bond and being able to travel to their houses is really emotional for him. Listening to them speak about their beloved allows him to include the idea for these caskets. When individuals talk about their favorite things, they begin to smile. Even though it is a terrible moment, they recall the pleasure and love that their loved ones had.
As per the report, Ganem has helped other families, including providing caskets for Vanessa Guillen, a Fort Hood soldier who was killed, and Maleah Davis, a lost 4-year-old who was subsequently discovered in a garbage bag on the side of an Arkansas road.
Ganem described the customised coffin as a wonderful masterpiece that expresses their loved ones, rather than just a box.
Ganem was contacted by someone from the Texas Funeral Directors Association who asked if he could assist in providing caskets for the little community, since 21 caskets — 19 of them for kids – is challenging given the area’s limited resources.
SoulShine Industries purchased the caskets from a manufacturer in Griffin, Georgia, who worked 20 straight hours to ensure the order was completed as fast as possible.
According to the article, Ganem then hired a truck driving firm to travel 26 hours round trip to acquire the caskets, and he himself worked on just a few hours of sleep to guarantee the caskets were ready for use in their separate funerals.
