In Houston, Texas, Aubrey Fontenot was worried about his 8-year-old son, Jordan. Jordan told him that he was being bullied in school. So the concerned dad talked to school officials about it, but that didn’t seem to do much good. Then, the bully stole Jordan’s phone. So Aubrey decided to investigate and find out more about this bully.
As it turns out, the bully himself was being bullied by other kids at the school, and he was taking it out on Jordan. That young boy was being bullied because he didn’t have clean clothes to wear to school or a decent pair of shoes. And his family was homeless.
The boy’s mother gave Aubrey permission to reach out to her son if he wanted to, and try to help him with things. So Aubrey did just that; he spent nearly an entire day with the young boy.
Says Aubrey: “We have no clue what these children are going thru these days because a lot of us just don’t care.. and this is not a uncommon story for a lot of people.. so I spent a lot of my day yesterday by shopping and teaching this young man about self respect. Integrity. Morals. Confidence. And other things that consist of going from a troubled youth to a great man.. we all come from different backgrounds but we all share the same goal of success.”

And then Aubrey set up a meeting between the boy and his son. They talked and Aubrey told them to shake hands, saying, “From now on you are brothers and you protect each other’.”
The boys are now the best of friends. And Aubrey started a GoFundMe page for the boy’s family, which, in a very short time, raised more than $32,000.
